Mixed-media installation

Thomas’ installation invites the observer to experience a journey through time. His physically combined historical family portraits intend to blur the distinction between past and present. The ‘time-machine’ hideaway overwhelms the viewer in nostalgia, featuring objects saturated in history and new video works created through manipulation and degeneration of over six decades of his family home videos and cine-films. ‘The Fourth Dimension’ aims to evoke emotions and nostalgia of the viewer’s own history and ancestry.
